This is a green conference and we are taking more steps to help reduce waste, save energy and the environment.  Here are some of the ways that we are doing this:

1.  Shuttles available between the hotel and airport to reduce emissions.

2.  Shuttle available to Toronto on Monday night to help reduce traffic and emissions.

3.  Call for papers was not printed and mailed. A handout was printed in reduced quantities on recycled paper.

4.  The full program was not printed and mailed - all marketing was done electronically.

5.  The full papers will be available online AFTER the conference.  Traditionally full papers were printed and handed out at the conference.  Only the abstracts will be printed.

6.  Electricity usage was not offered as part of the exhibitor package to reduce on energy consumption.

7.  The hotel also has green measures in place. (recycling, all meals served on china, etc.)

The reduction in paper use is equivalent to saving at least 7 trees!  In addition to saving the environment, many of these green measures also lead to saving costs.  The travel options mean that visitors may not need to rent a car or use a taxi!
